EVANSVILLE, IN — The Hit Dogs Evansville 11U are packing their bats, gloves, and plenty of grit as they head west to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, for the USSSA Halloween Hoopla, scheduled for October 24–25 at Shawnee Park Sports Complex.

Coming off an undefeated tournament weekend in Riley, Indiana, the Dogs enter Halloween Hoopla looking to continue their strong fall campaign and build on the momentum established during their first season competing at the 11U level.  In Riley, the Hit Dogs performance was nothing short of impressive. The team finished a perfect 4-0, outscoring opponents 47–15 while showcasing an explosive offense with 9 bombs, timely pitching, and solid defensive play.  That combination of power, aggressive baserunning, pitching, and defense has become a trademark of this Hit Dogs squad.

A Weekend of Competition

The USSSA Halloween Hoopla will feature new competition this season for the boys. Success will depend on the same fundamentals that powered their championship run in Riley: quality at-bats, smart baserunning, throwing strikes, making routine defensive plays, and competing together from the first pitch to the final out.  And while the tournament may have a Halloween theme, the Dogs are heading to Missouri with one thing on their minds — baseball.

Fans, families, and supporters can follow Hit Dogs Evansville throughout the weekend for game updates, scores, and tournament highlights.
